The Everly Brothers topped the charts in Britain and America in the late 50s and early 60s with a series of close-harmony hits including “Cathy’s Clown”, “Bye Bye Love” and “All I Have to Do Is Dream”. In all, they enjoyed 26 Billboard Top 40 singles and that achievement was recognised when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Rolling Stone magazine lists them as No.33 on the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
Decades after they had last recorded together, Don and Phil reunited for a historic concert and resurrected some of their sparkling chemistry. Though "Dream" and "Bye Bye Love" are oddly absent, such favorites as "Walk Right Back," "Love Is Strange," and "When Will I Be Loved" not only roll out the carpet of nostalgia but actually sound fresh and catchy to contemporary ears. The Brothers are backed by a full-sized band that rocks harder than any of the duo's '50s ensembles did, without diluting the pair's tender, sensitive harmonies.
